I was up pretty early this morning. The reason being I had some work with one of our parents. We worked on Muay Thai Kick Boxing via pads and mitt training.  As I was holding the mitts It got me thinking about the many benefits a child might gain from learning something like Muay Thai Boxing.

What is Muay Thai Style Kickboxing? Muay Thai comes from a place called  Thailand, I’m sure you know about that place 🙂 Muay Thai is their national sport.

They call it the art of 8 limbs, that’s because in Thai Boxing you use not only punches and kicks, but also knees and elbows. It’s widely considered the best fighting style for striking. That’s why it’s so common to hear about UFC fighters learning it.

As far as I know, my academy here in Arnold is the only place that teaches children real down to the “T” Muay Thai Kickboxing. The reason for this is because I want my students to know how to defense themselves if the need should ever arises. Muay Thai is for real, I kid you not.

Let me tell you something too, the knees in Muay Thai are brutal and when the kids use them on our instructors during the sparring sessions we sure do feel ever one of them!

My point with this blog post is easy; kids, start learning Muay Thai Kickboxing right now! Haha no but really Muay Thai is something that could really be a benefit to your child. Check us out and see for yourself.

Below are some videos of Thai Boxing. These videos give you a good understanding of what Thai Boxing is all about. How it should look too.

Check them out and study study!
