pricing for martial arts lessons in maryland
April 25, 2014

How much does it cost to martial arts classes? This is a common question we get all the time here at Ivey League MMA.

The truth is that martial arts classes, no matter what part of the world, can be all over the board in terms of cost. Some are more then others. It depends on where you’re located and what type of martial arts training you want.

My academy is located in Annapolis Maryland. Not a cheap town to live in. Everything price-wise is higher in Maryland.

The best mix martial arts academies (like Ivey League) tend to run more in total investment and there’s a reason for this. It’s pretty simple so I’ll give it to you in black and white.

“You get what you pay for”

Truer words have never been spoken. Choose to go cheap and you’ll get just that, cheap! The programs I teach don’t come cheap, I’m sure my students will back me up here 🙂 However, let me assure you that my students also get what they pay for.

Want your buck to go further? Don’t go cheap when it comes to the cost of good martial arts classes

The thing is, would you rather go cheap and learn the wrong stuff or would you rather pay a little more and get the best? Most people go with the best even if it’s a few more hard earned dollars. I don’t think it’s hard to see the reason why.

You’ll always have those one or two people that only care about price and cost. No matter what. They end up settling for the lowest priced gym in town and sadly, they get nothing out of it.

They quit and when it’s all sad and done they’re no better then they were before taking MMA classes. I feel bad because they could’ve come to Ivy League Mix Martial Arts and been much better off. But it is what it is.

Look, when choosing a martial arts school for yourself or a child, you need to be selective. Price should take a backseat to quality, because quality is the most important thing you look for in a MMA gym.

The best Mix Martial Arts Schools won’t be cheap. They cost more money because they’re the best, with the best instructors, training, and classes to choose from.

Don’t be cheap about picking the right dojo. Like I said before, you get what you pay for and in the long run it’s better to pay a little bit more money and get more out of the lessons then to go cheap and get nothing.

    That’s just my .2 cents.
