Ivey Leauge MMA head coach Danny Ives and student
Teresa Russin traveled to Philadelphia to hone their boxing skills.
Danny called his long time friend and professional boxing trainer
Robert “The Wiz” Hill. The Wiz has been training boxers in Philly for
the last 30 years and is a former Golden Gloves Champion himself. His
professional fighting career was cut short due to injuries sustained
fighting in Vietnam, but he continues to train top level fighters.
To say the least, Danny and Teresa picked up some great boxing
techniques to bring back to Ivey League while getting a great workout.
Coach Danny said he was inspired by training with a legend in a
legendary boxing city. The Wiz helped Teresa by fine tuning her skills
and adding some new combinations to her game. It was a great
experience had by all. Below are some photos from the trip.
