    Julius Park Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Seminar

Our good friend and highly regarded BJJ coach Julius Park will be teaching a seminar here at Ivey League on the 4th of May.

Read below to hear what Julius Park himself has to say…

If you are in the prime of your life or were an all-star athlete in your youth, you don’t need to read the rest of this email.

One of the most difficult tasks in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is figuring out a gameplan that works for you.

After all, most classes are taught to the level of the general class – there isn’t a class for skinny flexible guys, or short girls, or strong-legged weak-upper body people – its one class for everyone.

Its largely up to the student to figure out what works for them.

This is (almost) impossible to do a reasonable length of time!

    Why?

Because the beginning BJJ student doesn’t know the fundamental concepts and philosophies that make a move “work” vs. “not work”. Its a total Catch-22 for the student.

If you know exactly what I am talking about, then free up your schedule for next next Saturday.

I will be holding a special seminar on Saturday, October 6th (1PM – 3:30 PM) that will address these fundamental concepts and philosophies.

I am calling the seminar the “Average Joe Jiu-Jitsu Seminar” because its for people who want to be good at Jiu-Jitsu but are not superbly conditioned or can not train 7 days a week, etc.

You are going to learn some techniques but more importantly you are going to learn “how” to learn BJJ and how to apply it you don’t need to be fast, flexible, in-shape, etc.

I’m not saying those things do not help (they do!) but you can still be very effective with your jiu-jitsu without those attributes. You’ll discover that timing and perception are more important than those things.

    The seminar is $50.
