“I’ve yet to meet a coach in any sport who cares about his students’ success as much as Danny does. Even though class was scheduled from 8:30 to 9:30 every night, Danny stayed on the mats until almost 11:00 every night, supervising students who wanted to spar, and providing extra help to anyone who had questions regarding the material covered in class.
I think the best way to explain Danny’s capability as a teacher is to look at how quickly his students improve. Just six months after the DC school opened, Danny encouraged us to take part in a few tournaments. Literally all of us who competed came back with medals! He really took us to the next level in terms of technique, conditioning, and overall performance. Even though I’m training in Brazil now, I still miss Danny’s classes!”
