I was sniffing around on youtube and I came across a wrestling video that I’d seen a while back and I remembered thinking that it was awesome. I thought this was a video that everyone should check out, it’s of former UFC fighter and World/Olympic Champion Mark Schultz.

For those who don’t know Mark Schultz let me just say that’s he’s a bad dude. I’m guessing that he’s in his 50’s now but he could still lay down some beatings I’m sure, both on a wrestling mat or in an MMA cage.

I never got to train with Mark Schultz myself but i’d spoken to folks who have and they said he was just a beast of a man. Lots of people talk about his power and speed but most forget that he was highly skilled and very technical. His brother, David, was known to have the best technique of any American wrestler. (Dave was gunned down sadly in 1996)

I also enjoyed watching Mark Schultz because his style was well suited for nogi or Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He used lots of slick arm drags and snap downs that could and would work just fine for what any MMA program would be teaching.

Anyhow, check out the video below, as my close friend Jim Kelly would say “It’s a good time” hehe.
