Danny Song Seminar Nothing But A Good Time :)

This past weekend Ivey League Mixed Martial Arts hosted a takedown seminar with top level Wrestling Coach Danny Song.

For those that don’t know who Coach Danny Song is no worries, we can fill ya in.

He wrestled for and coached at the University of Iowa. He did so well that after he gave up competing he was asked to stay on and coach the newer students.

During his coaching timeline he’s worked with Iowa, Penn and now Bloomsburg University.

So as you can tell we brought in a pretty good one to teach takedowns 🙂

Coach Song showed so many great techniques that the students are sure to have success with. Skills like single and double legs were covered as well as the very effective front headlock series.

In fact the seminar went so well that the students are already asking for us to bring him back! That’s a good sign right there.

The next seminar will be held on the 29th of June. We’ll be bringing in long time training partner and friend George “PA” McGinness. That seminar will focus on BJJ and Judo skills and tactics.
