Summer camp has ended and I know for me it’s back to a sense of normalcy. Believe me I know the staff and I could use some normalcy.
Don’t get me wrong, I love working with the kids but at the same time it’s pretty hard to live a normal life when you’re working 18 hour days for 10 straight weeks.
Well that and dealing with girl drama for a good 8 hours of my day also has a way of wearing down even the best of them 🙂
So yeah summer camp 2015 has ended but as the saying goes – No rest for the weary…we dive right into the big boom of fall. Fall’s been booming to say the least.
Okay enough of that, on to the news and events for Fall ’15.
MMA Seminar with UFC Fighter Colton Smith
First thing to talk about is this weekends upcoming MMA seminar with standout fighter Colton Smith. That’s this Saturday (9/19/15) at 11am.
Everyone’s excited about this seminar and for very good reason. Colton is not only an outstanding fighter but also a great coach who really cares for the people he works with.
He plans to cover striking to takedowns as well as ground and pound tactics. I’ve got little doubt that those who attend will more then get their money’s worth.

Night of the Ninja Returns October 30th
You heard right, the night of the ninja sleepover/lock-in returns October 30th…on none other then mischief night!
If you’re a parent who needs (or wants) their kid or kids out of the house that night for god knows any number of different reasons this is your chance.
It’s an all night sleepover that features movies, games, arts and crafts, dodgeball, a silly string showdown and of course the always entertaining Nerf gun battle!
I highly recommend you jump on the chance to sign your kid(s) up for this because it always sells out fast.
Details can be found below.
Night of the Ninja Sleepover at Ivey League Mix Martial Arts
When: Friday, October 30th, 2015
Drop off at 8pm and pickup is at 8am and please make sure to have your child either in the clothes they plan on sleeping in or whatever costume they plan on wearing when you drop them off.
Sleeping Arrangements: Have your child bring a sleeping bag or blanket and a pillow. The kids sleep on the mats, or on the crash pads.
Don’t worry our mats are super comfortable, I should know cause I pass out on them all the time when Miss T kicks me out of the Ives home haha.
Also, for those kids doing the BBC class earlier in the night they must go home and shower before returning later that night.
A sleepover with a bunch of stinky kids after a workout is no fun for anyone, staff included 🙂
Food and Drink: We’ll be providing pizza, drinks and snacks for the kids. *if your child has any food allergies please let Miss Teresa, Miss Chrissy or myself know in advance.
COST:
$40 for BBC
$50 for Fundamentals
Kids can bring in games from home but please keep in mind THEY ARE 100% responsible for them!
Oh and I don’t mean to sound like a nagging mom but act fast cause it’s going to sell out and we’ve only got a few spots left. It’s first come first serve.
Don’t let your child miss out, you can RSVP either in person, or by email/phone.
Last but Not Least, Upcoming Tournaments and Fights
This time of the year it’s a little slow for tournaments and fights. The only event on the horizon for us is the NAGA Pennsylvania grappling tournament on October 10th.
Other then that we may end up having some kickboxing fights for some students in early December but that’s still up in the air. I’ll keep you posted.
